Jennifer Hoelscher received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. Prior to becoming a therapist she had a career in Human Resources. This gave Jennifer a unique perspective on the ways in which personal struggles influence one’s ability to function on the job and in day to day life. Driven by a desire to affect change in individuals beyond the workplace she decided to pursue counseling as a way to empower others to create personal changes that have long lasting effects.
Jennifer has worked with adults, adolescents and children in a variety of settings which include community mental health agencies and in the home. Jennifer understands that life is layered and complex. She uses an approach that emphasizes respect and encouragement. Jennifer believes in the resilience of the individual, although hurtful experiences may shape you they do not have to define you. She will work with you to help find ways to recover from the pain of the past, address current challenges and help clarify goals for the future. Her goal is to help you find solutions that are realistic, attainable and that work for your life.
