Embrace you
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. Prior to becoming a therapist, I had a career in Human Resources. This gave me a unique perspective on the ways in which personal struggles influence one’s ability to function on the job and in day to day life. Driven by a desire to affect change in individuals beyond the workplace, I decided to pursue counseling as a way to empower others to create personal changes that have long lasting effects.
I have worked with adults, adolescents and children in a variety of settings which include, community mental health agencies, in-home care, outpatient and inpatient psychiatric facilities. I have also worked with teens in placement through the judicial system.
Life is layered and complex, I believe therapy should be collaborative and emphasize respect and encouragement. I know you are resilient! Although hurtful experiences may shape you, they do not have to define you. Together we will help you recover from the pain of the past, address current challenges and clarify goals for the future. My goal is to help you define yourself and feel confident.
